GROWTH MINDSET AT KISHOGE

  • Decades of research show that there are two mindsets that students can adopt as they learn:

    • Students with a fixed mindset believe that their intelligence is static and unable to develop.

    • Students with a growth mindset understand that their intelligence can be improved through challenge, effort and practice.

  • Students who adopt a growth mindset are proven to have:

    • Enhanced self-esteem &motivation

    • Improved goal setting & study habits

    • Stronger relationships

    • Fewer behavioural problems

  • Throughout teaching and learning at Kishoge, our teachers will support every student on their journey to strengthen their growth mindset.

  • In October we will be launching Growth Mindset across the school

    • In every classroom there will be posters with Growth Mindset statements.

    • These posters will be used in lessons to help students develop a Growth Mindset.

    • Students will also have stickers on their journals reminding them to maintain a growth mindset.
